Hey there! Welcome to the blog. I hope you found what you are looking for. This is a fun space to learn more about me, my work, and the incredible people I've had the opportunity to work with. I love this journey that I am on and invite you to join me for the adventure of a lifetime!
To Daniel and Autumn, thank you for trusting me to capture this special day. I love you both dearly and am praying for blessings in this season of engagement and in your future marriage.
Hi friends! I took my first ENGAGEMENT session and want to invite you into the behind the scenes of this special day. It was beautiful and perfectly celebrated these two incredible people.
I first met Daniel when he became one of my bible study leaders in the Fall of 2022 through Grace Bible Church here in College Station.
One week probably halfway through the semester we were talking after bible study had wrapped up. He said to me, “Hey Brooke, I think you know my girlfriend.” I sat there RACKING my brain for all contextual information that could of helped me put the puzzle pieces together, but my mind was blank. So, I just asked, “who is your girlfriend?” It was the coolest thing when he told me that her name was, “Autumn Parker.” All the puzzle pieces clicked into place.
Autumn and I went to Cypress Ranch High School together. She was a band kid and I was an ag kid, so we didn’t really run in the same extracurricular circles. We met through being in all the same dual credit classes and National Honor Societies together. Autumn was truly my only non-ag friend in high school. (I wasn’t the most social person in HS, but Autumn was so kind and approachable I just had to be her friend). I was ECSTATIC when Daniel told me this wonderful news. It just made perfect sense in my head that these two incredible people who love the Lord whole-heartedly were together.
It became even sweeter when Autumn transferred to Texas A&M and joined our bible study full-time. She is now no longer categorized as “friend from high school,” but is a lasting friend who I can’t wait to champion on in her future marriage.
This is my official public service announcement to not lock your house and truck keys inside your house on the morning of an engagement shoot.
The morning of the shoot, I was double/triple/quadruple checking that I had everything in order to ensure that Daniel and Autumn’s day was capture to the best of my abilities. This includes formatting SD cards, charging batteries, cleaning lenses, and making sure anything I could possibly need is in my camera bag. I decided that the smartest thing I could do was leave an hour early, go grab a cup of coffee (I was out at the house… tragic I know), and get to Aggie Park with plenty of time to test out different angles. This was a great plan until I locked my front door thinking I had put my keys in my camera bag, but when I opened my bag there were no keys to be found.
Panic doesn’t even truly begin to describe what I felt in that moment. I started to pace, slightly hyperventilate, and I went into crisis mode. I thought about if it was possible to run to Aggie Park, I looked to see if Ubers were running at 9:30 in the morning, and then I called my dear friend Lexie. Y’all, everyone needs a Lexie. She dropped what she was doing, came to my house, and drove me to Aggie park. I owe her endless amounts of Dr. Pepper and Chick-fil-a nuggets. Let’s just say… I never leave my house without my keys in sight anymore.
Daniel planned the perfect day. He was so intentional about every single detail. His love and adoration for Autumn is evident to anyone even remotely paying attention. The smile on Autumn’s face in these photos and the ecstatic “YES” that she gave proves that the feeling is mutual! No surprise there!
They could not have asked for better weather, it was GORGEOUS. Seriously, look at how blue this sky was. The Lord’s hand was over this entirely and it was perfect. It was a beautiful moment that these two will cherish for the entirety of their marriage.
